Dr. Julie Hussin is an IVADO assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Université de Montréal, and FRQS Junior 1 researcher. Julie is trained in computational biology, with a strong interest in population genetics, biomedical research and deep learning approaches. She leads the OMICS group at the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI),  a team of experts in biomedical and data sciences that tackle challenges and opportunities that exist today in these fields to improve precision medicine, taking advantage of the variety of medically relevant –omics and phenotypic datasets becoming increasingly available in this era of big data.
